It seems to be one of the simplest rules that we learn from basic biology: the difference between men and women. But what happens when you make the decision to not let this divide play a role in society? What happens to a community when gender neutrality becomes the norm? In the short documentary N for Neutral we follow filmmaker Sterre de Jong whilst she travels through the progressive country of Sweden. Here, initiatives like norm critical children’s books, neutral changing rooms and gender neutral pronouns seem to be the latest trend. Is this something that might work for her home country, The Netherlands, as well?
